Robertson Stephens Snags Hightower Advisor Group
Robertson Stephens, a San Francisco-based wealth manager with more than $7 billion in client assets, has lured a former Hightower Advisors team based in Rhode Island.
According to SEC filings, Carol Nulman, who leads the Nulman Group, and her team moved to Robertson Stephens in September. She has taken on the role of managing director and principal, joined by Richard Lewis, another managing director and principal; Hunter Norte, a vice president; and a client service associate, according to the firm’s website.
Neither the Nulman team nor Robertson Stephens responded to requests for comment. A Hightower spokesperson also didn’t immediately respond to a comment request.
Nulman joined Hightower in 2015, when she was managing about $500 million in client assets, according to a press release from the time. She made the move to Hightower from Oppenheimer & Co. Lewis joined Hightower in 2017 and Norte in 2022, according to BrokerCheck.
In July, Robertson Stephens announced that financial advisor Leah Hokenson joined as a managing director and principal in New York, having previously worked at Baldwin Wealth Partners.
The firm went on an acquisition run with four deals in 2024, but has been quieter in deal announcements this year. It is backed by private equity firm Long Arc Capital and has offices in 24 locations across the United States.
